So while I was brainstorming about other ways that I can get some different benchmarks out there for you all to reference your rig to the benchmarks on this site my best friend said that he would allow his computer to become guinea pig #2. Below are his PC specs and some links to the full stat listing of each.
Mobo: Asus P5N32-E SLi
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
Ram: Mushkin DDR2 800mhz 1GB x 2
Video Card: XFX 8600GT 256mb
OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2
Monitor: 19″ Acer 16:10 Widescreen
Hes got a pretty solid rig too, he said that he is planning on running 2 of the XFX 8600’s in SLi. It will be interesting to see what his results are with the added card.
Seeing as I am the guinea pig #2 I figured that I should comment. My rig also has the memory timeing slightly tweeked and the kernal access twiked up a bit. My room mates friend did it for me, and i have no real clue at to how much its helped. Due to the kernal tweek, i have seen faster startups.
Yeah I forgot to put that into the post, sorry guinea pig #2. It will also be interesting to see what the performance boost with the new video card and the upcoming SP3 does for you also.
